iO Associates consultants, Bea Meyrick and Inness Law, host this Javascript based meetup.
They are joined by Dave Farley, Founder and Director of Continuous Delivery Ltd, who presents an amazing talk on the growing pains in Continuous Delivery, and explains some strategies to cope with them.
The deployment pipeline is a central idea in Continuous Delivery. It represents the channel through which ideas inside your business flow to the outside world so that they can be delivered to your users in the form of working software.
Creating a working deployment pipeline at first can be rewarding as they help to improve the quality of the software and lead to happier users. As teams mature in their adoption of Continuous Delivery though, the pipeline often begins to slow. We have more tests, we are testing more complex things, our software becomes more complex and more difficult to deploy.
Dave takes us through how we address these growing pains, what the next steps are beyond the CD beginner’s basic automation, and how we can optimise to meet and exceed our needs.

This session features Praveen Kumar Purushothaman, FullStack JS Developer and Lead Consultant at Virtusa, who presented a talk on ‘React State(less) Functional Components Migration’.
When React 16.8 update was released, a new feature called hooks was added to function components. Now with this feature, you can leave Class Components for the performance of Functional Components with Hooks support. In this session, Praveen discussed how we can convert Class Components into Functional Components with the same functionality but with more efficiency.
About The Speaker:
People call me Praveen or PravMan. I am an ailurophile, vegetarian, and an experimental chef. Well, I would like to experiment as much as I can, on food and my life. My body is made up of HTML & CSS, which is literally me! This defines me as a Full Stack Web Developer (Front End, Back End, Middleware, Whatever…).
Oh yeah, I am a highly motivated, passionate hard-core web developer with diverse experience in developing web applications, hybrid mobile apps, and cloud computing solutions ranging from working on cute layouts, payment gateways etcetera and the list goes on till making a clone, better than Facebook. Yup, you heard it right. I did make a clone of our favourite social network from scratch.
Once upon a time, I was consistently ranked as top 0.01% developers in Stack Overflow. I stopped contributing much after achieving 100k reputation points. I am also a Pluralsight Mentor, Thinkful Mentor and a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional in the field of Visual Studio & Development Tools.
